Sponsored Trainer Highlight: Cara Klothe
Cara is a Grand Prix dressage rider, trainer and breeder based in Lehigh Valley, PA. She is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist and received many of her scores, but most notably her gold medal scores, on Hhot Tamale, a horse which she alone trained from 1st level to Grand Prix. She is also an L graduate with distinction. An avid competitor, Cara has competed regularly at Dressage at Devon, GAIG Regional Finals, BLMs, and other events. She has shown 50+ horses in dressage shows with excellent results. Cara has ridden at symposiums with top trainers including Carl Hester, Charlotte Dujardin, Monica Theodorescu, among others. When not riding and competing herself, she is usually found teaching and coaching her students at horse shows. Cara loves to teach and feels that it’s her job to teach her students how to think through problems so they can confidently ride their own horses and achieve their goals.
Cara grew up a horse crazy kid in Chester County, PA. During these years, Cara had the opportunity to ride many different horses of all levels and breeds. She gained experience on Arabs, Quarter Horses, Lipizzaner crosses and Thoroughbreds, as well as more traditional warmbloods. This instilled into Cara early on that dressage is beneficial to every breed of horse and helpful in making them a better athlete overall.
After graduation from Ursinus College with a business degree, Cara took a job at Rolling Stone Farm breaking, training and competing young warmbloods. It was there she found her niche for young horses. While she loves all types and ages, young horses are still her passion.
Cara recently got engaged and she and her fiancé bought a training facility in Walnutport, PA. Currently all their free time is spent working on the farm together or playing with their new twin foals, Emmett and Elle.

What boots are Cara riding in currently?
“I personally LOVE my Kingsley London polo boots. While I show in the Capris the London’s are my favorite and my go to with the ease of the zipper. Since I am a bit rough on my footwear I always opt for the Paxson leather, it holds up so well but also breaks in quickly. However, you can almost always find me in a pair of Kinsley’s whether it's my sneakers or judging in my Amsterdams or Mazys there is literally a pair of Kingsleys for every occasion.”
