Our mission at The Distinguished Rider is to provide equestrians with the boots of their dreams - regardless of size, budget, or design; and provide exceptional education and support. We are committed to empowering riders with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their footwear, and fostering a community of informed, confident, and distinguished equestrians.
We are incredibly excited to welcome The Wide Boot Company to the TDR family! The addition of the Wide Boot Company will allow TDR to further cater to the equestrian community - cementing the possibility for all riders to be able to get boots that fit and make them feel good, regardless of size or budget.
The Wide Boot Company (WBC) came to be in 2019 after owner and founder, Bex, realized the need for a boot brand that fit out of the box for riders with muscular calves. She found that shopping for footwear in tack shops and country stores was a daunting experience and often unrewarding. Bex and the Wide Boot Company understand the need for everyone to have access to boots that actually fit, flatter every unique calf, and are comfortable to wear. In 2020, WBC won the BETA Innovation in Design Award for the Atia Field Boot.
Marissa and the TDR team discovered the Wide Boot Company in 2020 and instantly connected with their mission and vision of providing boots to every rider regardless of calf shape. We are so pleased to become their first US retailer! TDR will offer virtual fittings with Marissa for all WBC custom boots!
Those who wish to order WBC boots will receive the same level of customer service and communication that is paramount to TDR. You can expect TDR to stand behind our measurements, offer assistance on boot design, and provide excellent communication and customer service. WBC boots range from $329-529 and the current lead time at the time of this post is 12-16 weeks. WBC boots are only available through online fittings with Marissa.
