Katie has earned her USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals, all aboard a self-trained horse.  Katie’s experience ranges from backing and starting young horses, to training and competing in the Grand Prix. She strives to achieve harmony, suppleness and lightness in every horse she trains. Katie's career highlights include Brentina Cup Reserve Champion at The Festival of Champions, top 3 placings in both the FEI Young Rider and the U25 Grand Prix divisions at Dressage at Devon, Champion and Reserve champion titles at the Global Dressage Festival in the Under 25 Grand Prix, and multiple USDF Regional Championship wins.

When asked for her thoughts on The Distinguished Rider, and Kingsley boots, she had this to say:

"Kingsley boots are hands down the most comfortable, stylish, and long lasting boots I've owned. I wear them all day and ride 6-8 horses per day and they hold up so well."

"The Distinguished Rider not only oozes with passion for what they do, but they provide the absolute best customer service out there. TDR makes the boot designing and purchasing process so much fun and stress free. Marissa is so creative in the design process, and I love all of the updates I get once the boots are in production. I am so honored to work with a company that provides a high quality product backed by unmatched customer service."

Katie on her favorite Kingsley boot model:

"I love ALL of the models! I have a pair of London’s, Orlando’s, and 2 pairs of the Capri’s. My favorite boot is the Capri, especially my patent leather pair. They are so low maintenance, easy to clean, and gorgeous!"

What is Katie doing/working on now?:

"I just launched a new blog, this month I will be taking 2 young horses to Devon, and after that I will start gearing up to spend the winter in Wellington with 9 horses!"
